Education/Advocacy on Anti-Black Racism and Systemic Oppression, Cross-Cultural Leadership, Organizational Culture, and more….
We are committed to reaching out and providing culturally-informed educational workshops and training to service providers to marginalized (specifically Black-identifying) groups within the community. In addition, we solidify our collaborations with organizations by providing core outreach support and programs to residents in the Region and surrounding areas. Through such cooperation, we foster a culturally safe and positive space that encourages and respects the perspectives and feedback of all Black and racialized service recipients.
KMFW workshops are opportunities for individuals, groups, and organizations to engage in conversations, dialogue, and learnings around their current and future engagement and inclusive work within the Black communities and with their Black-identifying clients. Our standard workshop on inclusivity is an 8-hour (2 half-day) training. We have several two-hour workshops and workshop series on different aspects of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Belonging, and Access for individuals or groups. In addition, we offer opportunities for organizations to request specific and curated workshops and engagements to meet the needs of the organization and its external stakeholders. Some examples include grant writing for grassroots organizations, cross-cultural leadership, focus groups, and new program initiatives or project rollout.
We seek opportunities to advocate for and on behalf of our service recipients and community members within systems and in the community. We welcome all inquiries relating to advocacy, training, seminars, or workshops.
