This funding allows us to run our 2021 Qarni Groups for seniors and youth, which provides the much needed opportunity for them to culturally connect, engage, share knowledge, grieve, heal from trauma, and celebrate their Black culture, by making available a culturally safe and positive space.
Kind Minds Family Wellness is thankful to the City of Kitchener for funding our Caregiver and Children’s Book Club program. Our book club is designed to build a deepened sense of community that promotes member’s appreciation and understanding of each others culture. The featured books by Black authors will promote engagement and development of culturally informed strategies to address topics such as stress, racism, colorism, wellness, parenting and child behaviors, self-esteem, self-efficacy, and more.
Kind Minds Family Wellness is thankful to the City of Cambridge for funding our Community Programs. Through this grant we are able to deliver programs and services that promote the well-being of Cambridge residents.

Kind Minds Family Wellness appreciates the Community Grant Initiative to move the work with Black-identifying youth in our community forward- specifically, our Leadership Skills Development and Pathway to Entrepreneurship program.
Also, through a community-based funding model and focus on upstream initiatives that improve social and economic systems to decrease barriers and improve the support that allows people to achieve their full potential, the @regionofwaterloo approved KMFW's funding request for capacity building as an organization 🙌🏾
This funding will support our human resources, financial sustainability, research, and administration needs.
